A55 Shut in all directions due to Llama Chaos

The A55 was a scene of chaos today, as the resulting actions of a heartless thief left over fourteen llamas stranded on the slip-road at Llandulas, Conwy.

Nick Knowley of Llandulas Llama Farm was first alerted to his herd of tasty kebabs being loose, by his neighbour, Deirdre Dingle.

She called up in a panic at first” he said to our reporter. “She was all breathless after having chased the herd and a man with a saw and hypodermic needle down the lane. Then she calmed down, as she told me there was no need to panic anymore”.

The reason was that the mysterious ‘man with a saw and needle’ had by then surgically removed all the legs from the llamas, but not before they’d ran onto the A55.

Why the man needed the legs remains a mystery. Head of North Wales Police Llama Squad, Sgt Ron Tibones, said his team arrived at the scene within fifteen minutes, and at first though the herd of Llamas were drunk.

They were legless, and all over the place. But the team used scientific detective methods, and after a few hours found the entire herd to have no legs”.

The operation was hindered by a woman constantly trying to tell them what had actually happened”, he added, saying the public should remain indoors.

The herd have since been repaired using donated Tesco shopping trolleys.

North Wales Police Llama Squad are still investigating. Anyone with any information should contact North Wales News in the first instance, quoting ‘LLAMAS-EVERYWHERE’.
